The date for the annual A Taste of Matarangi festival on Saturday 7th April 2018 is set - and tickets are now on sale!

The festival has all of the favourite elements that makes this a standout event to attend on the Coromandel Peninsula. Located in the picturesque seaside village of Matarangi at the Village Green A Taste of Matarangi offers a day for friends and family to enjoy delicious seafood, local produce, fine wines, craft beers and crowd pleasing entertainment. On top of all that the event has to offer it is also a major local fundraising event to support the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service and Kuaotunu Land Search and Rescue.

A Taste of Matarangi Committee is excited that tickets for our sixth annual Festival are now on sale. All of the artists, kids fun activities, food, beverages and produce stalls provide the perfect ingredients for the relaxed fun vibe that we achieve each year.

With its seaside atmosphere and unchanged ticket pricing A Taste of Matarangi is an affordable day out that also gives back to the community. Confirmed artists to date are The Monroes and Daughters of Ally, with more artist details to come. Other features of the day will also include cooking demonstrations, Westpac helicopter simulator, live auctions and local raffles,

The Monroes

As the headlining act for A Taste of Matarangi The Monroes will bring their international experience and band chemistry to the stage with passion. The band have female and male vocals, so they can perform all of your favourite styles of music to the stage. From Rock ‘n’ Roll, to Disco, Funk, 80’s classics and modern favourites the Monroes provide the energy and excitement that will keep you on your feet dancing.

Daughters Of Ally

The festival favourites from 2015 are returning! Jessie and Georgina Mathews are two talented sisters from Tauranga who have been singing together since they were seven. Their fun onstage antics and vocal duos are powerful and entertaining. Once again, sure to be a crowd favourite!

Tickets are available online through A Taste of Matarangi website - follow this link to their new look website to get your tickets! You can also purchase tickets from local outlets at Richardsons Real Estate Matarangi, Coromandel Adventures and the Whitianga I-site.

A Taste of Matarangi Committee has been committed to providing an affordable day out for families and friends at our festival. This is a major fundraiser for our community and all proceeds go to our key charities the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service and Kuaotunu Land Search and Rescue – we encourage you to get your tickets early to get in behind the event and these charities”.
