A Taste of Matarangi 2019

What to Expect

Come to the Taste of Matarangi and enjoy a day full of delicious seafood, local produce, fine wine, cold beer and listen to some great music - all at this wonderful beach location in Matarangi. 

Fun for all the family in Matarangi with live music, cooking demonstration, childrens activities and kidzone, helicopter simulator,food and beverage stalls and much more!

Join us to celebrate - it really is a fabulous day of food, wine and music by the beach!

A Taste of Matarangi Ticket Prices

Online Tickets
Online ticket sales close 5pm Friday 5th April and gate sale tickets on the day will be subject to availability.
  • $20 Adult (per adult)
  • $40 Family pass (x2 Adults & x 2 children)
  • $5 Child pass (1 child ticket age 5-17 years).
Gate Sales
Gate sales will be subject to availability on the  day of the festival 6th April.
  • $25 Adult ticket (per adult)
  • $50 Family ticket (x2 Adults & x 2 children)
  • Child pass (1 child ticket age 5-17 years).
A Taste of Matarangi Festitval Programme
  • 10am - Gates open
  • 10.30 am Welcome by local iwi Ngati Huarere
  • 10.45am - Music: Crimson Coast
  • 11am - Children’s cooking competition
  • 12pm - Music: Lock and Load
  • 12.30pm - ‘The Great ATOM Cook Off’
  • 1pm - Charity auctions
  • 1.30pm - Music: Lou'ana Whitney
  • 2.45pm - Raffle ticket drawn (on sale 10am-2pm at merchandise tent)
  • 3pm- Music: The Monroes rocking us from afternoon to close of the day
  • 4pm - Alcohol sales close
  • 4.30pm - Festival close.

Location
The Village Green, Matarangi Beach (access via Cordyline Crescent or Kenwood Drive).

Parking
Street parking along Kenwood Drive and surrounding streets. Disabled parking near the entrance at the end of Kenwood Drive.

Supporting Local Charities
The proceeds raised throughout the day will be donated to a vital organisation in our region - Kuaotunu Land Search & Rescue (KSAR).  Additional fundraising will also take place with fantastic items up for grabs as part of our Charity Auction.

Donation bucket drops
Following the charity auction raffle will be a charity bucket drop amongst the crowd – with donations towards Kuaotunu Land Search ad Rescue.
