Bring the whole family and experience the joy of Christmas as the Santa Parade winds its way through the heart of Matarangi.

The Beach Hop is back in Whangamata, and around the Coromandel Peninsula. 

Hahei Market Day is an annual fun free family event that is a fundraiser for the popular Hahei Community Library. The Library also uses funds raised to support local community projects and organisations that support our community.

The Banana Boat offers the best value family fun on the water in Whitianga. We cater for all ages, individuals or groups  and all confidence levels from adrenalin seekers to thrills without spills, kiddy cruises to scenic tours of Cathedral Cove in Cooks Beach in the Mercury Bay.

A fantastic outdoor experience for children aged 6-13 in the April school holidays. A huge range of activities from crafts, flying fox, climbing walls, trailer rides and much more!

Activities are coordinated as part of Seaweek - events to celebrate the moana-sea along with agencies, businesses, and community groups. There are usually plenty of activities to get involved in during Seaweek - pencil this date in your detail as more details to come!

Getting from Hahei to Cathedral Cove takes just 10 minutes with the Cathedral Cove Water Taxi plus you get to see the beautiful coastline from a perspective only possible when travelling by boat.

Weekly events and activities at various times run at the Mercury Bay Library throughout the year and over the school holiday periods. And of course come on in any day they are open to get your favourite books for some excellent reading! 

Sit back and relax in air conditioned comfort to watch all the latest movies in our Whitianga big screen cinemas. You can enjoy a coffee, wine or beer selection or a sweet treat from our candy bar.

The Whitianga Christmas House at Penny's House will be open for visitors from 15th December to 24th December Christmas Eve this year.

The Hahei Library on the Coromandel Peninsula will be holding a fundraising big book sale with books for everyone!

Whitianga Christmas Parade -  come along with the kids and family to watch the awesome annual Whitianga Santa parade!

You're invited to enter or come along as a spectator at the Whitianga's American Muscle Street & Custom Club annual 'Whiti Beach Meet' this 4th January 2025! Approximately 200 cars and toys expected.
