Winners Announced for Coromandel Capture & Win - Celebrating the Beauty of the Coromandel

The team at Guthrie Bowron Whitianga would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who entered their September “Capture & Win” competition which had a fantastic response, with two winners now announced.

In September the Guthrie Bowron Whitianga team invited members of the local community to share their favourite photograph capturing the beauty, character or spirit of the Coromandel Peninsula. The prize was the opportunity to have the winning photograph transformed into a stunning 1m x 1m circular mural wallpaper, ready to hang in the winner’s home.

The response was fantastic, and the Guthrie Bowron team were thrilled to receive so many wonderful images showcasing the places and moments that make our part of the world so special. And the judges reported that choosing just one winner was certainly not an easy task.

The entries were all fantastic and reminded us just how fortunate we are to live and work in such a beautiful part of the country.  So, we decided to choose two winning photos. After much consideration, we are delighted to announce that the winning entries were submitted by Lynn Clayton and Robbie Shaw. A huge congratulations to them both!

Lynn and Robbie will both receive a mural wallpaper to hang at home. The Guthrie Bowron team are really looking forward to seeing the photographs transformed into their circular murals, and replicas will also be displayed in the Guthrie Bowron Whitianga store.

Once Lynn and Robbie’s winning murals have been printed and hung in our store, we invite everyone to come in and see them for themselves. You may even find yourself inspired to create a feature of your own!— Guthrie Bowron Team

Making your Coromandel Memory into Unique Wall Art

And the Guthrie Bowron Whitianga team didn’t want the fun to stop there. As a thank you to everyone who took the time to enter, they would like to offer all other entrants a discounted price of $125 to have their photograph turned into the same stunning 1m x 1m circular mural wallpaper, ready to transform a favourite space in your home - (RRP $149). These would be printed straight from your photo, and without any artwork modifications.

So, if you entered the competition and would like to take advantage of this special offer, simply email your photograph and order to paint@gbwhitianga.co.nz by 5.00 pm on Friday 30 October 2026.

One of their will contact you and help turn your favourite Coromandel memory into a unique piece of wall art that you can enjoy every day. They could also make a thoughtful and personal gift for family or friends, especially for those who have a favourite Coromandel memory of their own.

Thanks from the Guthrie Bowron Whitianga Team!

Thank you once again to everyone who entered Capture & Win. We genuinely enjoyed seeing the Coromandel through your eyes, and the quality and variety of the entries made choosing a winner incredibly difficult. Congratulations again to Lynn and Robbie and thank you to everyone who shared a little piece of the Coromandel with us.

The Coromandel really is a special place to call home!
