Individuals, businesses and community groups are now able to put forward nominations and entries to the Hauraki Coromandel Business Awards.

The awards are held biennially and celebrate excellence and creativity in the business sector. The awards provide a valuable opportunity for organisations to gain recognition, benchmark their performance, and receive expert advice for continued success.

Members of the public can make nominations in two stand alone award categories:

Service to Business - nominated by the public, decided by judges
People’s Choice - nominated by the public and decided by public vote.

Service to Business

Who are our local business champions? This category is for someone who has given their time, energy and enthusiasm to businesses in the community.

The Service to Business Award is nominated by the public and the winner is decided by the judging panel.

People's Choice Award

Who do you think are the most awesome businesses in Hauraki and Coromandel? An opportunity for the public to voice their appreciation and support of local businesses.

The People's Choice Award is nominated by the public and decided by public vote.

How to make your nomination

Nominations can be made at Hauraki Coromandel Business Awards.

Business Categories

Businesses may enter one or more categories to showcase excellence in a specific area:

  • Community Contribution
  • Business Resilience
  • Digital Strategy and Ecommerce
  • Waste Minimisation – Environmental
  • Contribution to Tourism and Hospitality.

In light of the ongoing challenges since the 2019 Awards, particularly the difficulties posed by Covid restrictions, this year sees the introduction of the Business Resilience category to honour the perseverance of our businesses. Additionally, a new artwork will be unveiled to commemorate this year's event.
