MI-SEX – ready to rock Whitianga

MI-SEX will be taking to the stage at the Whitianga Summer Concert with Gin Wigmore, Dragon, The Angels and Pseudo Echo.

MI-SEX new wave accolades

Formed in 1978, MI-SEX and are one of New Zealand’s iconic new wave bands. Their name was adapted from an Ultravox track called ‘My Sex’, with a blend of influences including British new wave punk acts like Ultravox and The Stranglers, as well as progressive rock bands like Yes.

 MI-SEX have achieved many accolades including six Top 40 Singles on the NZ charts during the late 70’s and into the early 80’s, as well as two of their albums spending an incredible 74 weeks in the NZ Top 10 Albums charts, Graffiti Crimes peaking at No. 6 and Space Race hitting No.1.

• General tickets are available from the Greenstone Entertainment booking page for $125 plus booking fee
• A limited number of local tickets are available from the Whitianga I-site for $115 plus booking fee (limited availability).
