A Taste of Matarangi festival has grown from a humble community festival to one of the most beloved events on the Coromandel Peninsula. It draws in locals and visitors alike, and this 10th celebration will be a tribute to a decade of memories, community spirit, and regional pride.
And, it's not just about what you'll eat and drink. The soulful sounds of what the organising committee promise will be a popular lineup of musicians will be your soundtrack for a day of relaxation. Spend the day with family, catching up with old friends, or making new ones along the way!
Festival-goers can expect a jam-packed day of live music, delicious food, the best in craft beer and wines showcasing the very best of the region’s offerings. Alongside these delights, we’ve planned a variety of celebration activities to ensure a day filled with fun, flavour, and fantastic memories for all. A Festival with community firmly at heart
With its seaside atmosphere and family friendly ticket pricing A Taste of Matarangi is an affordable day out that also gives back to the community. Each year, the A Taste of Matarangi Festival gives to charitable causes that benefit the community. Since its inception, the festival has raised $135,000 to its benefactors by way of fundraising initiatives and donations. The A Taste of Matarangi festival 2025 will support Kuaotunu Land Search & Rescue (KSAR), Te Rerenga School, and the Coromandel Rescue Helicopter Trust.
The 2025 line up of artists are yet to be confirmed, but watch this space! The organising committee report that the 2025 lineup is something you won’t want to miss— so stay tuned as they unveil more exciting details.
