Hot Water Beach Junior Surf Programme looking for local business support

The local Hot Water Beach Junior Surf club are looking to repeat the success of last summer's 'Sausage Superstars' fundraising initiative. The club is again calling for local Mercury Bay businesses to sponsor a weekly sausage sizzle that provides much needed funds for club equipment and lifeguard funding.

After last years success, where 'Sausage Superstars' supported the Junior Surf Programme by sponsoring $50 (plus GST) towards the weekly barbecue, spots for the 20201 /22 season are now open.

Businesses will be acknowledged on the Hot Water Beach Lifeguard’s:

  • Webpage and sponsors page (business logo)
  • Social media (photo and post of the weeks sponsored sausage sizzle and associated business information)
  • The All About Whitianga website.

We have 12 spots for our 21/22 season, 2 of which have already been snapped up by some of last year's sponsors. We had great anecdotal feedback from the exposure for sponsors' businesses; they reported more traffic to their own facebook pages and inquiries for their services following their Junior Surf day.

For businesses, families and individuals that are in a position to give a little more the club has another fundraising initiative available this season. Generous donations of $500 become part of the 500 Club and are acknowledged on the club’s website, the sponsors board, on the All About Whitianga website and the Informer.

The Junior Surf programme

The All About Whitianga team are proud to sponsor the Hot Water Beach Surf Lifeguards and encourage local businesses to do the same.

The Hot Water Beach Lifeguards Junior Surf programme starts December 5th 2021 and will run until March/April. The programme is run by the lifeguards and parent helpers to educate and assist youngsters in gaining skills at the beach and developing tomorrow’s lifeguards.
