Whitianga Summer Concert Artists Announced!
Greenstone Entertainment Ltd. has announced its exciting artist line-up for the annual Whitianga Summer Concert Tour for Sunday 28th January 2018.
The concerts will feature George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Alanis Morissette and Colin Hay of Men At Work fame. All of the artists will be bringing all their unmistakable hits as part of their Whitianga concert!
At the Whitianga concert you will be able to enjoy the hard driving powerful rock and blues of George Thorogood & The Destroyers, the multi-talented and one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music- Alanis Morissette, along with the unmistakable voice and lead singer of one of the most successful Australian Bands - Colin Hay of Men At Work.

The concerts will be returning to Whitianga, hot on the tails of the 2017 tour, which was a complete sell-out. With its unique atmosphere based at the Whitianga Waterways Arena and unchanged ticket pricing, concert goers won't be disappointed with the Whitianga Summer Concert 2018 line-up.
George Thorogood & The Destroyers
New Zealanders have a passion for the amped-up blues rock legends that are George Thorogood & The Destroyers. It will be seven years since George Thorogood & The Destroyers last performed in New Zealand. Their 20 albums, 14 of which have spent a massive 150 weeks in the New Zealand charts, include six gold and two platinum discs, and have sold over 15 million copies worldwide.
George Thorogood &The Destroyers have amassed a huge catalogue of hits which were the staple of rock radio stations during the 80’s including “Who Do You Love”, “I Drink Alone”, “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer”, “Move It On Over”, “Get A Haircut” and the ultimate rock anthem, “Bad To The Bone.”
Alanis Morissette last performed on New Zealand soil back in 1998. Her 1995 debut album, Jagged Little Pill, featuring hit songs "You Oughta Know", "Hand In My Pocket" and "Ironic", peaked at No. 1 on the NZ charts, and ranks at number 33 in the top 1000 bestselling albums of all time in New Zealand. Hit singles "Hands Clean", "Thank U"and "Ironic" have also reached No. 1, 2 & 3 respectively on the New Zealand singles charts.
Alanis has sold over 60 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2015. She has achieved 7 Grammy Award wins, along with Rolling Stone magazine having ranked her Jagged Little Pill album on its Women in Rock – The 50 Essential Albums list.
Since 1995 Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music. Colin Hay of Men At Work fame
Who can forget dancing and singing along to Australian 80’s legends- Men at Work - when Colin Hay pumped out hit after hit tunes from their No. 1 selling Business As Usual album. As frontman, guitarist and principle songwriter for eighties hit machine Men at Work, Colin Hay is responsible for some of the most identifiable sounds in pop music, including hit songs "Down Under", "Be Good Johnny" and "Who Can It Be Now" to name just a few. Business As Usual spent an incredible 75 weeks in the New Zealand charts, ranking in the top 100 bestselling albums of all time in New Zealand. In 1982 Men at Work won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Men at Work’s second album, Cargo, also peaked at No.1 on the NZ album charts in 1983.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 1989, he’s made 13 solo albums and toured solidly and successfully to a broad American, UK and Australasian fan base.
