Rubbish collection dates

 Download a copy of the 2025 schedule for your home or bach below. Council advise to please ensure that your rubbish is placed kerbside by 7.30am on the collection day.

What can be recycled?

Yellow lidded wheelie bins - please place paper, cardboard, aluminium and tins and plastic with recycle label 1, 2 or 5 only. Reminder to discard lids and rinse plastic items clean.

Food Scraps bins - please place fruit and vegetables, meat and seafood, bones, coffee grounds, bread, rice and pasta, cooked food, diary, egg shells. For more information about the food scraps bin see the Thames Coromandel District Council Rubbish and Recycling pages.

Green Recycling Bins - please place rinsed and clean class bottles and jars only.

Red lidded wheelie bins - (used to be blue bags) General rubbish, that can't go into the yellow, green or food bins. This bin requires a pay as you throw (PAYT) tag. for a list of where to purchase see the Thames Coromandel District Council website

Refuse Transfer Station hours

The Coromandel Peninsula's refuse transfer stations are usually operated seven days from 8.30am - 5.30pm. They usually close on Christmas Day and New Years Day and may be subject to change so it's best to double check on the TCDC website.
