The Whitianga Run Fest isn't just about the running and walking, it's also a chance to experience the unique culture and atmosphere of the Coromandel Peninsula. And for those who want to add a bit of extra fun to their run, there's even a Best Dressed competition.

This year, participants are encouraged to dress up in their best nautical-themed outfits, with over $1,000 of prizes up for grabs for the best-dressed contestants. So grab your Popeye, pirate, or mermaid costume and join in on the festivities!

Bests Dressed competition – dress up in your craziest costume and see if you can win over the judges and the crowds.

Local kids run for free – children from local Coromandel schools can also participate for free, thanks to event partner, AON Insurance.

Looking after the environment – the event is environmentally friendly, with aid stations offering water and electrolyte drinks, but no cups provided to reduce waste. So don't forget to bring your own cup or hydration pack!
