Whiti Beach Meet: Celebrating Classic Cars and More in Whitianga

Rescheduled Whitianga car show all go!

Originally scheduled for earlier dates, the Whiti Beach Meet had to be postponed twice due to the summer’s inclement weather. However, the committee has worked hard to re-secure the permit to use the Buffalo Beach reserve on Whitianga’s beach front for the event. 

Apart from the classic and vintage cars, visitors can also look forward to seeing American muscle cars, hot rods, bikes, trucks, and even new vehicles on display. What's more, there are no restrictions on the year model, make, or type of the vehicles, so anyone can participate and showcase their prized possession.

Buffalo Beach reserve is a pretty special spot to view all of the vehicles that will be on show, with the backdrop of Mercury Bay behind. As the reserve is large we do have capacity for additional vehicles so our committee invites people to get in contact if they want to enter a vehicle. The committee is looking forward to this event and invite anyone with an interest in cars to come along and enjoy the day – car enthusiasts can expect a great show.

More than just a showcase of cars

The Whiti Beach Meet is not just about cars and vehicles. Visitors can also enjoy various activities throughout the day, including food and drinks from local vendors, live music, raffles, and other fun games and activities. Entrants have been encouraged to dress up in retro styles, with prizes up for grabs for the best-dressed male, female, and couple.

The Whiti Beach Meet committee has worked hard to accumulate a great prize pool, with various categories and spot prizes to be won throughout the day. The prize-giving ceremony will start at 1:30 pm sharp and run until 2:00 pm.

Visitors are encouraged to support the car show, and proceeds from the raffles will go to fundraising for Project Mammogram. So come along, bring the family, and enjoy a day filled with classic cars, music, food, drinks, and more in beautiful Whitianga.

Following the meet, the club is organising a fun car run and picnic out to Kuaotunu on Monday 10th April. All are welcome.

The Whitianga American Street and Custom Car Club welcomes anyone with an appreciation for classic or unusual vehicles to join their club.
