Michael Hurst stars in this one man show written by New Zealand satirical cartoonist and writer Tom Scott. The play see's Hurst's character, Danny Moffat, recalling his lifetime of memories and regrets from his bedroom after retreating from the real world.
The play and character based on Tom Scott's father, is hilariously funny and will have you laughing in the aisles. An immigrant from Ireland, and the usual life of the party, Danny reflects on the life he feels trapped in, and ever increasing responsibilities and family. Set in mid 20th century rural New Zealand, where mental health help is practically non-existent, booze and humour is how Danny tries to deal with reality.
The Coghill Theatre will host the show in August.
