There's an excellent number of summer activities in the Mercury Bay to look forward to including stalls with local produce, wellbeing products and treatments, art, indoor and outdoor activities. While the Covid-19 traffic light mandate has resulted in a reduced number of summer markets being held in the Mercury Bay there are still many things to do to keep the whole family entertained.

Things to do and events in Whitianga this Summer

December 2021

Whitianga Farmers and Craft Market – At Soldiers Memorial Park beside the library 11th & 18th December.

The Extravaganza Fair – Buffalo Beach Reserve, December 27th & 28th. Vaccine passes required.

Whitianga Wellbeing Fair – Town Hall on Monk Street, 28th December - 2 January.

January 2022

Annual Matarangi Fishing Tournament – The adults get a chance to show who the 'reel' fisherman is. January 2nd.

Cars and Coffee – Car Club meeting at buffalo Beach Reserve January 2nd.

Mercury Bay Golf & Country Club – New Years Open Tournament

Hahei Market Day – Kotare Reserve, 6th January. Vaccine passes required.

Whitianga Art Centre Exhibition – School Road, Whitianga from January 4th to 31st.

Mercury Bay Library – Kids take-home activity packs.
