Cold Chisel 50th Anniversary Tour
Cold Chisel, will be bringing their 50th Anniversary tour, ‘The Big Five-O’ across the ditch to celebrate with a Kiwi summer.
Earlier this year they announced 23 dates across Australia this October to December with 20 shows selling out within hours of going on sale. After the legendary Jimmy Barnes underwent open heart surgery in 2023, the rocker admitting he never thought he'd see these milestone performances come together.
"The Big Five-0 is a landmark moment. There have been plenty of times where I never thought I'd live to see this day so I'm going to make the most of it. I can't wait to celebrate with my mates and with all the fans who have been such a big part of our story. We're gonna smash it!”

Piano player and chief songwriter Don Walker shares that the band was going all out, planning a set that spans their entire song catalogue to make The Big Five-0 a memorable tour. Ian Moss, Guitarist and singer, assured fans that they would hear at least 15 of the most popular hits in the setlist, along with many musical surprises.
Jimmy Barnes August 2024 update
Jimmy Barnes experienced severe hip pain while in Dunedin on 1 August which led to his hospitalisation and an emergency operation. Doctors recommended immediate surgery, which Barnes underwent successfully, followed by six weeks of recovery time.
While in hospital Barnes's wife, Jane, updated fans on his condition, thanking them for their support and sharing a photo of Barnes with two of their children, Mahalia and Jackie. The pain incident occurred just after Barnes finished the New Zealand leg of his "Hell of a Time" tour.
Due to his recovery, Barnes announced the postponement of his upcoming solo shows in Australia for August and September. He assured fans that the dates would be rescheduled and apologised for the inconvenience. It is expected that Jimmy will be fully recovered for the upcoming Summer Concert Tour.
