Ticket sales for the popular Matarangi festival celebrating local artists, food and wine were on sale online from Labour weekend. The Festival committee have seen an extremely positive uptake on ticket sales for the return of this event which had been postponed for two years due to Covid-19.
The committee expect that ticket sales will resume in January 2022 to allow the committee to update any Government Covid-19 requirements for A Taste of Matarangi Festival which is scheduled for 9 March 2022.
The committee are working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the 2022 festival. We have excellent bands and food stalls lined up for the day to share with our festival goers. However we have decided that we will place any further ticket sales on hold until January 2022 so that the committee can clearly understand what further planning we need to put in place to respond to the new traffic light system, and how this will impact all of those attending the festival.
