Beach Hop is celebrating 20 years of being on the Coromandel Peninsula and the Whitianga visit has been included as part of the full Repco Beach Hop event programme. The vibe of the 50's and 60's is planned at the event and between 500-600 cars are expected to cruise into town for the day.
We are delighted once again to bring the Repco Beach Hop party to Whitianga and to give our entrants a unique experience in Whitianga. It's a stunning location, great community atmosphere and on day two of the Beach Hop programme something we're really looking forward to.

Repco Beach Hop Party Whitianga
Classic cars will be parked on Albert Street and the event will include a show and shine, spot prizes, prize giving, entrant cash prize draw, bands in place around the main street area and other entertainment throughout the day.
Beach Hop classic cars will assemble on Buffalo Beach Reserve on the day and then parade along the Esplanade and park up in the centre of town from approximately 11am-3pm.
Traffic management is in place to get the expected volume of cars across the four one lane bridges into Whitianga, and spaces to park all of the cars in the centre of town. Council and the event organisers are advising that there will be road closures in place from the boat ramp on the Esplanade through to Black Smith Lane. Albert Street will also be closed from the intersection of Lee Street through to the intersection of Hannan Road. Traffic management will be in place from approximately 8am through to 2pm.
We're delighted to have the Repco Beach Party in Whitianga next Thursday. It's exciting to see the cars parked up in and around our town center. The day has a fun festival feel to it and it's wonderful to see our local retailers, cafes and restaurants dress up and get into the spirit of the event. I'd really encourage as many people as possible to go down and check out this great free event.
