Children and lifeguards on beach with boats

Hot Water Beach Junior Surf club needs some ‘Sausage Superstars’ to get behind their junior surf programme. This new initiative is a tasty way to help fundraise for the club and to recognise local Mercury Bay Businesses.

The club is asking local businesses to sponsor $50 towards a weekly sausage sizzle that provides a vital source of fundraising for club equipment and lifeguard funding.

Businesses will be acknowledged on the Hot Water Beach Lifeguard’s:

  • Webpage and sponsors page (business logo)
  •  Social media (photo and post of the weeks sponsored sausage sizzle and associated business information)
  • The All About Whitianga website.

“We’re calling for business ‘Sausage Superstars’ to sign up over the next few weeks to support and to be a part of our Junior Surf programme team. Through our club we would love to help promote those smaller businesses that might not get opportunities for sponsorship and to get their names out there. This is a win-win initiative that aims to raise funds for the club and says thanks to supporting businesses”.

Hot Water Beach Surf Lifeguard 500 Club

For businesses, families and individuals that are in a position to give a little more the club has another fundraising initiative available this season. Generous donations of $500 become part of the 500 Club and are acknowledged on the club’s website, the sponsors board, on the All About Whitianga website and the Informer.

The Junior Surf programme

The All About Whitianga team are proud to sponsor the Hot Water Beach Surf Lifeguards and encourage local businesses to do the same.

The Hot Water Beach Lifeguards Junior Surf programme starts December 6 and will run until March/April. The programme is run by the lifeguards and parent helpers to educate and assist youngsters in gaining skills at the beach and developing tomorrow’s lifeguards.
