The Whitianga Marathon Course
Starting in Cooks Beach the Marathon course will showcase the views from the south side of the river, including Shakeseare cliff and a local avocado orchard. Clocks will stop for the ferry trip across the rive and then the second half of the course will follow the very scenic pathway looking out to the stunning Mercury Bay and then loop back around Whitianga township. Be prepared for a scenic course that shows off the Mercury Bay!

Last minute entries?
If you’re here and haven’t entered there’s still the opportunity to walk or run 5km, 10km, the half marathon, the 23km Track and Trail or the full marathon. You can enter on line up until Wednesday 12th at midday.
Registration is held at the Mercury Bay Area School on the 14th October from 4pm so head there if you’re a late comer to enter. Everyone is welcome.
Coromandel Kids run for Free
Children from local Coromandel schools are encouraged to take advantage of the FREE entry provided to them thanks to partner AON Insurance. To register kids, just need to register with their PE teacher to be given an entry code.
Environmentally friendly Aid Stations
Water and aid stations will be situated around the course with both water and electrolyte drinks. For environmental reasons, there will be no cups provided by the event so please ensure you bring your own cup or hydration pack.

Whether your a competitive or more leisurely athlete you choose the option that suits you!
