The Mercury Bay Boating Club is hosting a weekend Hobie Cat/Multihull event this December. Local and regional multihulls will compete on the stunning waters of Mercury Bay.  You are invited to come and compete or view this exciting regatta.

If you have a Hobie Cat, Prindle 16 Class Catamarans, Tornado Class Catamarans, A-Class (foiling or classic) or similar, and are keen to join in a great weekend of racing in a stunning location - then put this date in your diary!

Mercury Bay Boating Club (MBBC)

The MBBC invite entries in to the fifth Double Trouble Multi Hull Regatta. Entries welcomed from:
  • Hobie 16s
  • Prindle
  • Tornados
  • A-Class Cats (foiling or classic).

Regatta schedule and details

  • Arrivals and boat staging can begin anytime during the week, right through Saturday morning. Club ambassadors will be on hand to assist.
    As for previous editions - 3 to 4 races on Saturday 2 December followed by a social function.
  • 2 to 3 Races on Sunday morning, with prize giving immediately following so visitors can be on the road by early afternoon, if they wish.
  • Prizes from local and city sponsors.

We have the perfect race course for scenic round the bay races, large triangles and sausages, windward leeward and destination sails.
