This amazing shop, run entirely by volunteers, is the primary source of income for the Trust. It stocks a great variety and is always very popular over the holiday periods with people looking to pick up a holiday read. You can support the shop by buying or by donating books, puzzles, magazines etc. The shop is situated at 5 Blacksmith Lane, Whitianga. The hours are posted on our Facebook page.

Who are the Mercury Bay Cancer Support Trust?

The Trust is made up of 5 volunteer Trustees and two part-time staff. This team provides oversight to around 50 volunteers, whose tasks include running the bookshop, delivering equipment, supporter and navigator roles and biographers.

Clients can be referred by nurses, doctors or other agencies, but a referral is not necessary - anyone with cancer can contact us directly to seek support. All our staff and volunteers maintain strict confidentiality and respect the rights and wishes of the client.
