Art Trails and Open Studios being held first two weekends in March

Twenty five independent artists are opening their doors in the first two weekends in March to welcome the public to view their artworks and to have a chat.

Open Studios and Art trails in Whitianga and Mercury Bay

The popular Mercury Bay Art Escape has been postponed this year due to the uncertainty around Covid-19. However, some groups of artists who would have exhibited as part of the Art Escape have collaborated to open their studios and have collectively created open studios and art trails that are open to the public during March.

The art trails and studio openings are detailed below, please note that you will need to check opening hours and days, as these might change at short notice in the current environment.

Tairua Art Trail

Starting in Tairua, those interested in an alternative art adventure can visit eight artists in the region.
