Climb out of bed early to celebrate the newest holiday in Aotearoa New Zealand by watching Matariki rise in the dark sky over Kūaotunu with a group of expert stargazers.

5am - 7am, 21 June - Kuaotunu Domain by the tennis courts.

With commentary from local night sky guides, you can observe planets and stars through large astronomical telescopes and binoculars, and learn more about the Dark Sky Community project.
