Waikato Regional Council is holding a weed swap and planting bee for residents of Mercury Bay South.

Planting bee and weed swap at Cooks Beach

Come along and help plant native dune species and / or bring a pest plant (or many) to exchange for an ecosourced native plant.

This July, there will be a selection of eco sourced native plants from Mercury Bay Environmental Trust to exchange for your weeds.

Thames-Coromandel District Council is providing dune species for planting at Pukaki/Cooks Beach.

A biosecurity officer will be available to provide answers to any technical questions and help with information about pest plants on your property.
