Waikato Regional Council is holding a weed swap and planting bee for residents of Mercury Bay South.

Planting bee and weed swap at Hot Water Beach
Come along and help plant native dune species and / or bring a pest plant (or many) to exchange for an ecosourced native plant.
This July, there will be a selection of eco sourced native plants from Mercury Bay Environmental Trust to exchange for your weeds.
Thames-Coromandel District Council is providing riparian species for planting along Taiwawae Stream at Te Puma/Hot Water Beach.
A biosecurity officer will be available to provide answers to any technical questions and help with information about pest plants on your property.
