BayJam – A summer afternoon

Celebrating the Coromandel’s finest with markets, music, and food.

Whitianga will come alive on Sunday the 28th of January, with a variety of local music, artisanal food, and the charm of Mercury Bay cafes, bars & businesses.

BayJam comprises two musical stages in BayJam Lane (Taylors Mistake) featuring well-known, local performers, and a range of events around town and beyond.

The festival's main stage running from 12 – 4pm will hold local favourite acts, Sarah Morcom, GRIM, Good Gracious Annie, Let’s go Descarrego and Rowdy’s Rose – all of which will leave you entertained.

Stage number two holds local busking talent, Poppy Carpenter, Fei Linn, Morels, Keey Freem. The Buskers stage is a place to relax, vibe and take in the afternoons sun.

Explore BayJam Lane with a selection of award-winning produce, local artists, divine food, remedial massage and a selection of tasty Coromandel food trucks including the popular Sugarfish.

There is a real community feel within BayJam Lane, with several community groups fundraising and raising awareness.

Take time to explore what Mercury Bay has on offer with a selection of businesses hosting amazing BayJam offers. From delicious dishes showcasing culinary skills to cocktails and live music, it’s time to soak in what Mercury Bay has to offer.

Mercury Bay Twin Cinema
Finish off the day with a night at the movies! Epic entertainment to choose from: 4.15pm The Iron Claw, 5.00pm Mean Girls, 7.00pm Poor Things, 7.30pm The Colour Purple.

All day live music with tasty food specials including Kingfish Ceviche. Alongside a delicious Cocktail menu.

Mussel Pot special - 1kg NZ Mussels in a creamy garlic and white wine sauce, with garlic ciabatta.
