The AYO Experience

Auckland Youth Orchestra returns to Whitianga

The AYO, consisting of 75 young musicians, will return to Whitianga this March to perform. Inspired by world events, the music from these American, English, French and Russian composers performed by the Auckland Youth Orchestra create hope. The programme will include:

  • Copland – Fanfare for the Common Man
  • Vaughan Williams –The Lark Ascending (soloist: Jim Wu)
  • Ravel – Pavane for a Dead Princess
  • Mussaorgsky – Pictures at an Exhibition
