Job Summary
Are you an honest, reliable, and highly motivated individual committed to providing a safe and excellent learning environment for students? We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Caretaker to support our Caretaker in maintaining the high standards of our school. This afternoon/evening shift is critical for securing the site and preparing it for the following day.

Key Skills and Attributes We Are Looking For
We are seeking a candidate who is:
- Honest and Reliable: A trustworthy individual with excellent attendance and time management.
- Motivated and Physically Fit: Enthusiastic about work and able to handle the physical demands of general maintenance duties.
- Committed to High Standards: Ensures the school environment is always tidy, safe, and welcoming. Responsible and Shows Initiative: Able to proactively identify and resolve minor maintenance issues, particularly during the afternoon shift.
- Good Communication Skills: Capable of clearly interacting with students, staff, parents, and contractors.
- Independent Worker: Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently manage tasks when working unsupervised, especially during closing procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Maintenance and/or Building Background/Experience: Proven practical skills in general repairs, decorating, minor plumbing, and basic grounds maintenance.
- Current Driver's Licence: Necessary for local errands or accessing equipment.
- Commitment to Safeguarding: Must be willing to undergo a police check as
required for working in a school setting.
