Join the Wāhi Tukurua team as we push forward with our waste minimisation initiatives!

Volunteer Roles Available

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers and helpers to assist with our new recycling centre at the interim site based next to the Whitianga Refuse Transfer Station. 

The centre is a place where reusable items can be rescued from landfill, repaired, and rehomed.

We've begun our 'soft launch' for this new site - setting up infrastructure, developing operating systems, and preparing to accept donations of reusable items from the public. And, what or group really needs right now is volunteers.

How Can You Help?

Whether you can spare a couple of hours each month or want to dive deeper into working on this awesome initiative, every contribution makes a difference!

If you are great with tools, love sorting treasures, or just want to be part of something good, we need you — and there’s a place at this new site for everyone.
