Hahei Community Library
Hahei is very proud of its library, which has some 13,000 books. These are regularly updated with new books both for children and adults. We welcome residents, ratepayers and visitors from the Mercury Bay South area. For new members who wish to join the library a $20 annual fee gives access to a wide range of books from Adult Fiction and Non Fiction to an extensive range of children’s books.
The Hahei Library generates income through subscriptions, the annual Book Sale, and through its annual Market Day, which generates surplus funds that enables the library to not only keep the library well stocked, but also to support the wider community through Community Wellbeing donations each year.
The Library is located next to the Hahei Community Hall. It operates six days a week – Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 12pm. It is staffed entirely by local volunteers.
If you wish to join, come into the library with your details, and we will sign you up. Note your subscription covers not just you, but your whole household.
