The Mercury Bay Amateur Swimming Club runs a swimming programme and lessons for all skills and ages of children from 5 years to adult. The club operates from the community pool during the summer months.

Swim squads and Levels for children

The club uses a progression structure from beginner swimmers though to senior squads. Children will be assessed usually in early term 4 and placed in levels/squads for the upcoming season. Training sessions are usually twice a week. Each squad will have it's own timetable.

Registrations

Registrations will usually open in late term 3, September. Please keep up to date with the Club's Facebook page and website for details and forms.

Join the Committee

The Club is run by parent volunteers. If you are able to help in anyway, please contact the committee, we would love to have you on the team.

Club Night and Competitive swimming in Whitianga

Club nights are held regularly, usually a Wednesday evening for swimmers to hone their skills. Competing against their personal best times, rather than against each other. They are fun weekly competitions. 

The club also participate in swim meets and carnivals throughout the year. Rules and entry requirement details are on the club webpage.
