Community Patrol in Whitianga

The community patrol network works in partnership with others to prevent crime and reduce harm through the active presence of trained patrollers. Their vision is "A New Zealand where everyone feels safe". 

Organised locally, the patrol is operated by volunteers in the community. Funded by grants, sponsorship and donations. Although patrols are independent from the Police, they do receive regular guidance and training.
