FISHING
A typical day on the water is eight hours, and will see us catching livebaits on the coast before travelling out to the islands or deeper reefs to chase kingfish using a variety of methods including livebait, jigging, stickbaits and poppers and softbaits.
We have all the top of the line rods and reels you need, as well as the required terminal tackle. You are more than welcome to bring any gear along you have as well.
We also love chasing big Coromandel snapper either on softbaits, deep drifted livies or straylining. And of course there are plenty of nice sized hapuku for the table mooching around the deeper reefs as well!
Kingfish, snapper and hapuku can be caught year round. In the summer and autumn we also chase gamefishing including striped marlin, blue marlin and the gladiator – the mighty Broadbill swordfish!
