This popular event showcases a diverse group of established and emerging artists from a wide variety of disciplines, including painters, sculptors, jewellers, printmakers, ceramicists and weavers, in what is undoubtedly the most eclectic mix of studio artists in New Zealand.
Over 40 emerging and established local artists from Tairua to Otama open up their studios to the public from 10am – 4pm during the first two weekends in March, offering a fantastic opportunity to meet and talk to the artists, helping to understand the inspiration behind their work, while also providing a platform to purchase directly from the artistic source!

Many of the Art Escape members are open year-round (by appointment). All of the artists’ details are on the Art Escape website, and a comprehensive Guide is also available to download as an invaluable reference manual featuring short biographies and images of work from all of the artists involved.
