Open Studio weekends are held every year over the first 2 weekends in March and draw many art loving visitors to the beautiful coastal area of Mercury Bay on the Eastern Coromandel Peninsula. Encompassing the areas of Pauanui, Tairua, Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cooks Beach, Whenuakite, Whitianga, Kuaotunu, Matarangi and Whangapoua the studios are open from 10am until 4pm.
The Gala Opening of the Showcase Exhibition and celebration of the 11th Artists Open Studios will be held at Hot Waves Café, Hot Water Beach on Friday 2 March at 7.30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at www.mercurybayartescape.com
The 2017 FREE ART GUIDE
A new format full colour FREE brochure includes artists' details and an example of their work, easy to read maps, plus listings for many cafes, galleries, wineries, breweries, tours and accommodation options in the area. The Art Guide will be available free from artists’ studios, i-sites, galleries, many cafes throughout Mercury Bay, and from our website.
