Ventia is responsible for the management of essential local transport infrastructure and road maintenance contracts across the Thames Coromandel District area. 

Their Coromandel Peninsula team live and work in the Coromandel-Hauraki District areas and take pride in working to ensure locals and visitors to the Coromandel Peninsula get home efficiently and safely across the local roading network. 

Ventia is one of the largest suppliers of essential services in the Coromandel region and our team is proud to provide the expertise to keep the local transport infrastructure working for our local communities.

Ventia Services in the Coromandel Peninsula

The Ventia team are committed to keeping the Coromandel Peninsula community connected and safe throughout the year. Ventia have a main depot in Thames and a Whitianga satellite office that is supported by 50 staff who live throughout the Peninsula and Hauraki Districts. 

The Ventia team have been involved in key transport infrastructure and maintenance contracts with the Thames Coromandel District Council for over 25 years. Projects they are currently involved in include: 

  • Management and maintenance for local roads coming off main Highway 25 and 25a
  • Maintaining and improving local Council transport roading assets 
  • Local roading litter control and pothole, roading repair and slip repairs 
  • Providing extensive expertise in road construction and operations
  • Traffic and safety control including stop-go teams on sites across the region.

Many of the Coromandel Peninsula team live and work on the Coromandel, having family, friends and community connections in the area. The team are on the ground and active in supporting everyday roading connectivity projects as well as severe weather events. The local team is on call  and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year.
