Countdown to A Taste of Matarangi Festival
A Taste of Matarangi food, wine and music festival has been a favourite event for friends and family, young and old to attend each year on the Coromandel Peninsula. This years programme of musicians, demonstrations, food and beverage stall holders are guaranteed to offer a special day out on the Matarangi Village Green! Foodies and music lovers get your tickets quick and get ready as we are on countdown to A Taste of Matarangi on the 7th April!
A Taste of Matarangi has a fantastic line up of local talent and live bands that will be playing right throughout the day.
We are really excited to be able to bring A Taste of Matarangi Festival back to Matarangi for its 6th year. Each year it just gets better and all proceeds from the day will be donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Kuaotunu Search and Rescue.

A Taste of Matarangi Festival
Festival organisers recommend that you come to the festival ready to groove and with an empty stomach so you can sample everything. The programme for the A Taste of Matarangi includes live performances from talented bands including The Munroes, Daughers of Ally, Wilde Taylor and Gemma Louden and Mitchell Power of the Mercury Bay School band . Guaranteed for the day are some great tasting food, wine & beers. Included in the culinary line up on offer is seafood paella, mussel fritters, pork belly tacos, wontons, Asian style prawns, burgers, Hungarian fried bread, sausage sizzle, white bait fritters, scallop & bacon rolls, French crepes, Spanish churros, real fruit ice cream, smoothies and lots more to discover.
A Taste of Matarangi Programme 2018
A Taste of Matarangi festival offers a full days programme to enjoy from 10am until 4.30pm. Scheduled for the day are live bands, cooking competitions and demonstrations, raffles and charity auctions and local wine and food stalls galore.
